How it works

  1. Tell us who signs your cheques

Homeowners, general contractors, property managers or an operator's supply-chain team. The mix decides which channels matter and which are a waste of money.

  2. See a plan with the arithmetic shown

Lead costs, close rates and the value of one more approved vendor listing, worked through with your own job sizes before you spend anything.

  3. Start with one conversation

There are no forms and no booking widgets here. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Alberta contracting is three businesses wearing the same hard hat. A furnace or plumbing outfit in northeast Calgary lives on homeowners who search at night and call the first company that answers. A mechanical or electrical sub in south Edmonton lives on invitations from general contractors and property managers. A service contractor working out of Leduc County or Fort McMurray lives on a vendor approval that someone in a procurement office has to sign. Alberta.Contractors builds marketing around which of those buyers pays your invoices, because each one decides in a completely different way.

Who signs the cheque decides the marketing

The fastest way to waste a marketing budget in this province is to treat a plant maintenance buyer like a homeowner, or the reverse. Here is how the three buyer types usually differ.

Buyer How they find you What makes them say yes What wastes your money
Homeowner in Calgary, Edmonton or a satellite town Google search, map results, a neighbour's name Quick answer, clear pricing language, recent reviews from their area Brand ads before the phone is answered reliably
GC, property manager or facility team (commercial and ICI) Bid lists, referrals, a website visit before the invite Proof of similar jobs, capacity, insurance and safety paperwork on hand Mass-market ads aimed at "anyone with a building"
Industrial or energy-sector operator Vendor databases, prequalification reviews, site superintendents A documented safety program, clean records, verifiable references Glossy brochures with no numbers in them

Most Alberta firms we talk to sit in two of those rows at once. That is fine, as long as each row gets its own pages, its own message and its own way of measuring success. Our services overview explains how to split the effort.

What we do, and what we never do

We are a marketing and business consulting service. We plan, build and run the parts of your business development that bring in calls, texts, bid invitations and vendor enquiries, and we advise owners on positioning and growth. We are not a contractor. We don't install, repair, service or build anything, we don't sub out work, and we will never price against you.

The work is organised into five services:

Run the numbers before you hire anyone

A plan should survive a calculation you can do on a napkin. Take a Red Deer electrical contractor who does residential panel upgrades averaging $3,800, with a 35% gross margin, so about $1,330 of gross profit per job. If a qualified lead costs $95 and the office converts 30% of them, each won job costs roughly $317 in marketing. That is under a quarter of gross profit, which most owners accept.

Now look at the commercial side of the same firm. One property manager who sends six tenant-improvement jobs a year at $18,000 each is worth $108,000 in revenue. If it takes $4,000 of effort over a year (a proper project page, a capability sheet, two lunch-and-learn invitations, a follow-up routine) to win that relationship, the return dwarfs anything homeowner search can produce. The guide to moving from residential to ICI work works through when that shift makes sense, and when it doesn't.

Proof from our HVAC work

The results we publish come from HVAC and heating companies, where the method was built and tested. We present them as results from our HVAC work, not as electrical, plumbing or industrial results. HVACDeal.ca generated 500+ leads at a 12:1 ROI. BCWide.ca reached 3× leads in 90 days. CanroHeat.ca recorded 250% lead growth.

What transfers to an Alberta contractor is the discipline behind those numbers: a page for every service worth selling, tracked calls, honest reviews collected while the job is fresh, and a monthly report that shows cost per job, not just clicks. Each case, and the limits of what it proves for a contracting firm in Alberta, is laid out on the results page.

Every corner of the province

We work with contractors right across Alberta. The Calgary and Edmonton metros carry most residential demand, but the regional centres and the north each run on their own rhythm, from shutdown season around the Industrial Heartland to the agricultural calendar in the south. The areas page covers the Calgary region, the Edmonton region, Central Alberta, Southern Alberta and Northern Alberta, with what changes in each.

Who's behind Alberta.Contractors

Alberta.Contractors is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. It is a Canadian business headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA in Technology Management, who has worked in digital marketing for 17+ years, since 2007, and has built 150+ live HVAC websites, including AlbertaHeating.ca. It works alongside Trades.Agency, the group's agency brand for the trades.

When you call, text or email, a senior strategist answers, not a call centre and not a junior account rep reading a script. The about page explains our working method, pricing lists the Trades.Agency plans, and contact tells you what to send first.

Frequently asked questions

What is Alberta.Contractors?

Alberta.Contractors is a Canadian digital marketing and business consulting service for contractors working in Alberta. It belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies and is run from Vancouver, BC, under the leadership of Ali Sedighi, MBA.

Are you a contractor, or do you refer jobs to contractors?

Neither. We are not a contractor and we don't sell or resell leads. We plan and run marketing for Alberta contracting firms and advise their owners; we never install, repair, service or build anything.

We do residential service work and some light commercial. Is that a fit?

Yes, and it is one of the most common mixes we see in Calgary and Edmonton. The plan usually keeps homeowner search running while building a separate, quieter effort aimed at property managers and GCs.

Can you help us get approved as a vendor with an energy company?

We can't approve you, and no marketing firm can. What we do is make your safety program, records, capacity and references easy to find and easy to verify, so the people who review vendors have fewer reasons to stall.

What does it cost?

The Growth plan is $1,999 a month on monthly terms, dropping to $1,499 a month if you pay annually, with 5% GST on top. Eligible trades firms get the first 30-minute call free, and any plan ends on 30 days' notice.

Do you promise a number of leads or contracts?

No. Anyone who promises that is guessing. We show you the maths behind the plan, the HVAC results our method produced, and the exact numbers we will report to you each month.
