Alberta.Contractors uses the plans and prices of Trades.Agency, the group's agency brand for the trades. Growth costs $1,999 a month if you stay month to month and $1,499 a month if you commit to a year. Every figure is in Canadian dollars, with 5% GST added for Canadian firms. Nobody is locked into a multi-year deal: give 30 days' notice and the plan stops, while a yearly commitment simply buys a lower monthly rate.

Which plan fits which Alberta contractor

The plan follows your buyer mix and how many tracks you need to run at once.

  • Growth suits a residential contractor in one metro or regional centre who mainly needs homeowner lead generation: profile, pages, paid search and reviews.
  • Elite suits a firm running two tracks, such as homeowner work plus commercial and ICI marketing, or a contractor who needs a new recruiting-friendly website and wants the 50% website discount.
  • Enterprise suits larger firms working across several regions or sectors, for example an industrial service company that needs prequalification marketing, bid support and recruiting at once, with a dedicated team and a website build included.

What drives the cost

Four things decide how much marketing an Alberta contractor needs.

  1. Number of buyer types. One homeowner track is simpler than homeowner plus commercial plus industrial.
  2. Geography. One city is simpler than five regions with separate pages and campaigns.
  3. Competition. Calgary and Edmonton search is more crowded than Lethbridge or Grande Prairie, so ad spend and content effort differ.
  4. Starting point. A firm with a decent site and accurate profile needs less rebuilding than one starting from scratch.

A worked example

Say you run a residential plumbing and heating company in Edmonton with an average job of $2,600 and 40% gross margin, so about $1,040 of gross profit per job. On the Growth plan at $1,999 a month (before GST and ad spend), you need roughly two extra jobs a month to cover the plan fee from gross profit. Add a separate ad budget of, say, $2,500 a month producing leads at $90 with a 30% booking rate, and you'd book about 8 jobs from ads alone, worth roughly $8,300 of gross profit against $4,500 of combined cost.

Those figures are illustrative, not a forecast. Your own numbers decide whether a plan makes sense, and we'll work them through with you before you commit.

What isn't in the plan fee

Your plan fee covers our strategy and the work described in your proposal. Advertising itself is paid to the platforms, such as Google or Meta, and is budgeted separately, so you always see what goes to media and what goes to us. Third-party tools such as call tracking may also carry costs, and how those are handled is set out in writing before you sign. If a proposal leaves you unsure about any cost, ask before you agree; a clear answer up front is part of the service.

How to choose

  • Start with the plan that covers your main buyer type well, not every possible channel.
  • Choose annual billing only once you're confident in the plan; month-to-month is there so you can test first.
  • Ask for the proposal to set out every cost in writing, including ad spend handling and any website work.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a setup fee?

Any one-time costs, such as a website build outside your plan's inclusions, are set out in writing in your proposal before you agree to anything.

Is ad spend included in the plan price?

Ad spend is paid to Google or Meta and is separate from the plan fee. How it's billed and managed for your account is confirmed in writing in your proposal.

Can we change plans later?

Yes. Many contractors start on Growth and move up when they add a commercial or industrial track. Plans are month-to-month unless you choose annual billing.

Do prices include GST?

No. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and Alberta clients add 5% GST.

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. Eligible trades businesses get a free 30-minute first call, and it sits outside any paid plan, so taking it commits you to nothing.
