Most Alberta contractors ask the same handful of questions before hiring a marketing firm, usually because a previous one left them with a monthly invoice and no clear results. The answers above are deliberately short and plain. The sections below cover the questions that need a little more room.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
Growth is $1,999 a month on monthly terms or $1,499 on yearly billing; Elite is $3,999 and Enterprise $7,999, each cheaper when billed annually. Add 5% GST, and budget ad spend separately.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No. Every plan runs month to month, so a 30-day notice is all it takes to stop. Paying for a year up front is optional and lowers the monthly rate.
How long before we see results?
Paid search can bring calls within days. Local search and website improvements usually take three to six months in Calgary or Edmonton. Commercial and industrial relationships take six to twelve months to show in bid invitations and approvals.
We tried an agency before and got nothing. Why would this be different?
We can't promise it will be. What we can do is show you the maths before you start, report in calls, jobs and dollars rather than clicks, and let you leave with 30 days' notice if it isn't working.
Who owns the website and the ad accounts?
Ownership of the website, domain, ad accounts and profiles is set out in writing in your proposal. We recommend every contractor keeps these registered in the company's own name.
What do the monthly reports show?
Calls, texts and enquiries by source, booked jobs, cost per job, and for commercial and industrial tracks, bid invitations, approvals and win rates. Traffic figures are included, but they're not the headline.
Are you a contractor?
No. We are a marketing and business consulting service. We don't install, repair, service or build anything, and we never bid against clients.
Can you help with oil-and-gas vendor approvals?
We help you present your safety program, records, capacity and references clearly and consistently. We don't approve vendors, audit safety programs or prepare you for certification.
Do you work with small firms?
Yes. Many clients run between two and fifteen trucks. Smaller firms often see the biggest gains from fixing basics like their Google profile, service pages and call handling.
Will you meet us in person?
Yes. Alberta owners can meet us in person or by video call, and phone, text and email cover the rest without costing you half a day.
Can you promise us leads or rankings?
No. Nobody honest can. We show you what similar work produced in our HVAC portfolio and how we'll measure your progress.
How fast do you reply?
We usually reply within one business day. Our hours are Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific.
Will this work for our type of contracting?
It depends on who buys from you. We work with three broad types of Alberta contractor:
- Residential trades selling to homeowners in the metros and regional centres. This is where digital marketing produces the most visible, fastest results.
- Commercial and ICI contractors selling to GCs, property managers and facility teams. Results come as bid invitations and repeat clients, more slowly.
- Industrial and energy-sector service contractors selling to operators. Results show up as faster vendor approvals and more invitations from approved lists.
The services overview explains which service fits each type. If you do a bit of everything, that's normal; the plan separates the tracks.
What happens in the first month?
The first month is mostly fixing and measuring. We audit your Google Business Profile, website, ads, phone handling and paperwork, install call tracking, agree on target communities or target buyers, and launch whatever can produce quick wins, usually paid search for residential firms. By the end of the month, you'll have a written plan for the next three to six months with costs and measures attached.
What do you need from us?
A little time and honesty. Expect to spend an hour or two in the first weeks on interviews, plus a short monthly review. We'll ask for job photos, a list of recent projects, your average job value and margin, and access to your existing accounts. For commercial and industrial tracks, we'll also need your safety and insurance documents so we can present them accurately.
What if our phones can't keep up?
That's a good problem, but a real one. If more leads would overwhelm your office, we'd rather fix call handling first, or slow the ad budget, than pay for calls nobody answers. A missed call in a January cold snap usually goes straight to a competitor. We'll also look at whether a recruiting-friendly website should come before more advertising.
How is this different from a national contractor agency?
The plans and the method come from the same group, but the content, regional pages and targeting are built for Alberta. That matters in practical ways. A plan for a Calgary heating company reserves budget for chinook-driven cold snaps; one for a Heartland maintenance contractor works around operators' planned maintenance calendars and vendor approval cycles. A generic national approach tends to miss both.
What if we only need help with one thing?
That's common. Some contractors only want a careers section rebuilt, or a capability statement and project sheets for an upcoming bid season, or a Google Business Profile fixed after a move. Tell us what you need, and we'll say whether a monthly plan fits or whether a smaller, defined piece of work makes more sense. The services overview shows the full range, and anything outside a standard plan is quoted in writing before work starts.
Can we pause in the slow season?
Plans run month to month, so you can stop with 30 days' notice. For many Alberta contractors, though, pausing marketing in a quiet month means starting cold when demand returns. We'd usually rather lower ad spend and keep content and review work running, so you're visible when the phones pick up again.
How do we start?
Call, text or email for the free 30-minute consultation. The contact page explains what to include in your first message so the conversation is useful from the start, and the pricing page sets out the plans. If you want to read more first, our guides cover moving into ICI work, presenting your safety record and building a careers section.
